Entering Randlay Primary School and Nursery immediately invokes a feeling of productive learning with a nurturing approach. We are a well-equipped school with stimulating, bright classrooms helping to ensure our children learn in the best possible way. We have a dedicated pastoral base ‘The Sunshine Room’ which offers further opportunities for small group work or extra nurturing provision when the need arises. To enhance learning opportunities further we have spacious workspace areas within bright, stimulating corridors which enable small groups to work and consolidate their learning too.
In addition to this we have a Nursery base with an outside canopy and dedicated Early Years outside play area allowing children to learn and play within a school setting from an early age.
Learning takes place inside and outside at Randlay Primary School and Nursery. We are fortunate to be set within spacious outside grounds which helps our children to have a healthy lifestyle. We have a vast playing field and a daily mile track where children enjoy outdoor activities. Within our outside space we also have a forest school area to enhance opportunities for outside learning even further.
Our school hall is the focal point for many activities in school including whole school assemblies and key stage assemblies. PE, Sports or Games may take place in the hall too. We also hold a variety of communal events within this space and it is frequently used for end of term plays or celebrations.
Our onsite Breakfast Club meets within the hall where children can meet their school friends and start the day with a healthy breakfast. At lunchtime the hall is used for a dining space where hot meals or sandwiches are served. Our onsite after school club ‘Honeybees’ also runs from the school hall which ensures a safe, familiar nurturing environment for families who need the wrap around care facilities.
