‘Working Together as One’

Here at Randlay Primary School and Nursery we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly, happy and hardworking environment where respect for others, positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are encouraged and nurtured. Randlay Primary School and Nursery is a school where all children are valued and where all staff work hard to help every child reach his or her full potential. Children work in a very caring, stimulating school environment and respond well to the schools positive discipline policy and the school’s ethos of respect for all.
Our Values encompass British Values too. You can read more about that on our British Values Page
Respect
We treat each other with respect and kindness by accepting each others’ values and differences
Aspiration
We want our pupils to fulfil their potential and be successful in all that they do.
Courage
We help our pupils to be confident, to take risks, overcome their doubts and fears, and not be afraid of making mistakes.
Creativity
We create opportunities within our curriculum for our pupils to be imaginative, original, innovative and creative.
Collaboration
We support each other in our learning and celebrate and share in one another’s success.
Excellence
We want the very best for our pupils. High expectations are non-negotiable.
Our core values continue to be at the heart of everything that we do. We continue to encourage children to exemplify these values and we celebrate them particularly in our Friday assembly. Every class has a ‘Box of Respect’ where adults or children can nominate others for respectful actions and one from each class gets pulled out of the box at random on Friday. Additionally, each teacher chooses a child who has shown a particular attribute towards another value. Again, this gets celebrated in our Friday assembly.
