E-Safety
Randlay Primary School & Nursery recognises that modern technology is an essential part of day to day life which our children come in contact with on a daily basis both in school, at home and in the wider community.
Unfortunately, along with the opportunities that ICT offers our children, it also brings with it problems and risks that they all need to be aware of.
E-safety has a very high priority in Randlay Primary School & Nursery with our children receiving advice and guidance appropriate to their age and ‘e-awareness’. As well as learning about E-safety in their Computing lessons, they also get targeted inputs during assemblies and in classbase time. In addition, all New Intake parents are invited to a parents’ meeting prior to their children starting school when risks and safety measures are outlined. Useful documents are also provided in the School’s New Intake Pack.
Being safe is also about teaching children to make the right decisions as they develop independence and start to go out on their own or, to be home alone.
